Love Yoga Nidra

“Do you ever wonder what happens in your body when you fall sleep? Yoga Nidra allows you to experience just that.”

Quite frankly, I love Yoga Nidra.

Whether your challenge is physical, mental, emotional or spiritual, Yoga Nidra can help.

It works on all four levels of your being simultaneously.

It can be done anywhere, any time of the day or night.  All you need is 25-40 minutes where you won’t be disturbed, your phone, and headphones if it’s noisy.

The return far outweighs the investment. On a physical level, you bring your sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous system into balance. On an emotional level, you experience inner calm. On a mental level, you get a break from your monkey mind. On a spiritual level, you experience a sense of wholeness, the integration of body, mind, and spirit (or energy).

Yoga Nidra translates as Yogic or Psychic Sleep.

During sleep, your body effortless guides you to low brainwave states. Yoga Nidra triggers this falling asleep reflex in your body so that you can consciously experience the low brainwave states that you normally only access (unconsciously) during sleep.

In practical terms, Yoga Nidra is a conscious experience of a compressed sleep cycle.

This makes it the ultimate power nap, as well as a great solution to insomnia. Time in Yoga Nidra is equivalent to 2-3x normal sleep time.

Beyond this, being conscious at these low brainwave states rewires the neural pathways in your brain. The more you do the practice, the more you build and strengthen the neural pathways that equate to these low brainwave states. The stronger these neural pathways become, the more able you are to access them outside the practice and the clarity, focus and creativity that goes along with them.
